The Vision & Challenge
Small and medium service businesses often rely on a patchwork of disconnected tools to operate. They manage physical assets in one system, sales in another, and customer support through email chains. This fragmentation is a significant operational drag, creating inefficiencies that directly inhibit growth.
Our partner, a B2B SaaS provider, identified this persistent gap in the market. Their prospective clients were losing valuable time and capital coordinating between spreadsheets, separate payment gateways, and various communication channels. The administrative cost of simply running the business had become a primary barrier to scaling.
They engaged us to architect and build a minimum viable product to test their thesis. We designed a single, cohesive platform that integrated these disparate functions into a logical workflow. The objective was to deliver a focused application that validated the core business case-that a centralized system reduces overhead and provides clearer operational insight.
Project challenges
- Architecting a backend that could support distinct business functions without creating dependencies that would hinder future development.
- Implementing a secure, multi-tenant user system with specific access controls for administrators, service providers, and their end-customers.
- Integrating third-party payment processing and building a data visualization layer to give business owners immediate insight into performance.
Solutions
- We developed a backend using a microservices architecture, isolating the asset, e-commerce, and maintenance modules for independent scaling and maintenance.
- A role-based access control system was built to manage permissions, ensuring data was properly segregated across tenants and user types, supplemented with multi-factor authentication.
- The Stripe API was integrated for secure payment processing, while a real-time analytics dashboard was built to display key metrics on asset use, sales, and service tickets.

Role-Based System Access
The platform's user management system allows businesses to define clear operational boundaries. Administrators can grant specific permissions to service providers and customers, ensuring data is only accessible to authorized users. This structure protects sensitive information and allows a single business to manage its entire customer and staff ecosystem from one control panel.
Business Operations Dashboard
The dashboard synthesizes data from across the platform into a single, clear view. Business owners can track asset utilization, monitor sales trends, and check the status of maintenance tasks in real time. This replaces manual report compilation and gives leaders the direct insight needed to make informed operational decisions.
