“I very much respect the knowledge that you have. You have a lot of things, just in our few communications, that no one else has mentioned. No one else has even made me think about them.”
Platforms where the schedule, the payment, and the bracket all have to be right at once
Tournament systems, two-sided learning marketplaces, and the scheduling, escrow and moderation infrastructure that keeps them running on the night it matters.
How the production path fits together
Inputs, model decisions, review steps, and operational outputs stay visible in one system.

What we build for esports and education platforms
The application and operations work required to move from model access to a production product.
Tournament and bracket systems
Registration, seeding, brackets, and results that survive a live event with everyone watching.
Two-sided marketplaces
Matching learners with tutors, or players with organisers, including the supply-side tooling that keeps the other half showing up.
Payment escrow
Holding funds until a session or match completes, and handling the disputes when it does not.
Automated scheduling
Timezone-correct booking, rescheduling, and cancellation logic that does not fall over at the boundaries.
Progression and ranking
Leaderboards, ladders, and progress tracking that stay consistent under concurrent updates.
Moderation tooling
Reporting, review queues, and enforcement that a small operations team can actually keep up with.
Integrations we ship with
Existing providers stay connected through explicit contracts, ownership, and failure paths.
Payment, video, identity, and game platform APIs

Esports Tournament Platform
We built the MVP and then launched the fully fledged esports tournament platform integrated with Squid LMS system
100+ tournaments run end to end without an administrator touching the standings: 4 roles, 2 bracket formats, one MySQL schema per school.

Private Tutoring Platform
We engineered a two-sided marketplace with payment escrow and automated scheduling to validate a new market entry.
Students pay into escrow and teachers are paid on completion via Stripe Connect, no dispute reaching either party; timezone-aware scheduling, embedded video.
Check the product boundary first
Use a focused tool to surface delivery risk before it becomes roadmap work.
Control evidence travels with the build from the first sprint.
- SOC 2 aligned
- HIPAA-aware
- GDPR
Control posture
Compliance and trust posture
| Standard | Status | What we ship |
|---|---|---|
| Payment handling | In progress | Escrow and payout flows built on a gateway that holds the card data. We build toward PCI-DSS; we do not certify against it. |
| Minors and safeguarding | In progress | Age gating, guardian consent, and moderation tooling where a platform serves under-18s. The policy is yours; we build the controls it needs. |
| Data privacy | Compliant | Participant data boundaries, and clear separation between profile, performance, and payment records. |
How we engage
Start with a focused audit or bring a senior team into a defined product roadmap. Each model keeps scope, controls, and ownership visible.
- 01Project RescueFor a platform that is stalled or inherited. Opens with a written review of what you have and a plan for what to build next.
- 02Discovery SprintShape the event model, payment flow, and first production release.
- 03Project BuildFixed-scope delivery of a platform or a workstream inside one.
- 04RetainerRunning the platform through seasons and events, with a monthly written recommendation.
Typical engagement runs 6–14 weeks, scoped and priced per project. Every one opens with a written review.
A note from the team
From the team
We started Robust Devs in 2019 after watching too many good products die between agencies. The pattern was always the same: big promises in the sales call, silence by week six. We built this firm to be the opposite of that. A small senior team, honest scope, and the uncomfortable truth delivered early.
We build v1s for funded founders and stay on after launch to build what comes next. Tell us what you are working on and a senior engineer will reply.

Esports and education FAQ
Answers on controls, integrations, and the boundaries of our role.
That is the whole problem in this space. Traffic is not steady: it is nothing, then everyone at once at a scheduled time. Registration and bracket updates get designed around that spike rather than tuned after it.
Audit before you add scope
Find the production risks before they turn into delivery work.
Bring us the platform and the night it has to survive
Tell us what exists and where it breaks under load. Every engagement opens with a written review of what you have and a plan for what to build next.
