Project Build

Project Build

A fixed-scope delivery engagement, typically 6–14 weeks. We design, build, test, and deploy a production-ready application to your infrastructure, then support the launch for 30 days.

What you get

Everything required to launch and own it

We have shipped 180+ products since 2019. The output is not a pile of tickets or a demo environment; it is a product deployed to accounts you control.

Production-ready product

A working application for real users, not a prototype dressed up for demo day. Core flows, edge cases, operations, and failure states included.

Deployed to your infrastructure

Source control, cloud accounts, data stores, CI/CD, domains, and production credentials stay under your organisation's control.

Automated + manual QA

Critical-path automated tests, code review, cross-browser or device QA, performance checks, and release acceptance against the agreed scope.

Security review before launch

Authentication, authorisation, secrets, dependency scanning, OWASP issues, data access, and production configuration reviewed before release.

Documented handoff

Architecture decisions, setup instructions, API documentation, deployment runbook, and recorded walkthroughs for the team that owns it next.

30 days of launch support

Production monitoring, bug fixes against delivered scope, and a stable handoff window are included after launch, not sold as an emergency add-on.

Production-grade code being built and reviewed

Built for production, not for demo day: shipped to your infrastructure

Delivery

How the engagement runs

  1. Weeks 1–2

    Discovery & scope lock

We turn the brief into user flows, technical architecture, milestone acceptance criteria, a delivery plan, and a fixed price.

  2. Weeks 2–4

    Design & foundation

Product design and engineering setup run in parallel: interactive prototype, design system, core architecture, environments, and CI/CD.

  3. Weeks 3–12

    Build in working increments

Two-week delivery cycles, weekly working-software demos, continuous QA, and visible decisions. You see the product throughout, not at the end.

  4. Weeks 6–14

    Launch & handoff

Acceptance testing, security and performance review, production deployment, documentation, team handoff, and 30 days of post-launch support.

Delivery visibility

You see working software every week

No ninety-day silence followed by a reveal. We demo the deployed product, record decisions, and keep scope status visible throughout the build.

Live product dashboard with performance and usage metrics reviewed in the weekly demo

Weekly demo

Working software in a shared environment, not presentation slides.

Scope ledger

Accepted, active, blocked, and changed work visible in one place.

Decision log

Product and architecture decisions recorded with their trade-offs.

Launch checklist

Security, QA, performance, analytics, docs, and ownership tracked to completion.

Fit

Is a Project Build right for you?

Best for

  • Funded teams with a defined product or feature and a decision-maker available weekly
  • Founders who need a production launch with a fixed scope, fixed price, and clear end date
  • Companies replacing failed vendor work after the codebase has been assessed
  • Teams building a discrete product outside their internal roadmap capacity

Not for

  • An open-ended roadmap where priorities will change every sprint: see Embedded Squad
  • An idea with no agreed users, flows, or feature boundary: start with Discovery Sprint
  • Maintenance and small fixes on an existing product: see Retainer
  • You need individual engineers managed by your team: see Staff Augmentation

I very much respect the knowledge that you have. You have a lot of things, just in our few communications, that no one else has mentioned. No one else has even made me think about them.

Fixed-scope delivery

A production product, not a prototype; shipped to your infrastructure

6–14 weeks, fixed scope, clear handoff. You see working software every week, deployed to accounts you control. 30 days of launch support included.

Project Build questions

Scope, ownership, delivery dates, involvement, and what production-ready means in practice.

  • We lock scope and price before build work starts, usually through a Discovery Sprint. Pricing scales with product complexity. You receive milestone definitions, assumptions, and the fixed number in writing.

Ready to turn a defined scope into a production product?

Talk directly to our team about timeline, constraints, and whether a fixed-scope build is the right engagement.
