Discovery Sprint

Discovery Sprint

A 1–2 week co-creation engagement that produces a scoped roadmap, architecture overview, risk register, and a fixed-price quote. The right starting point before any significant build: no commitment beyond the Sprint itself.

What you get

01

Scoped roadmap

A prioritised product roadmap ready to share with stakeholders, investors, or any engineering team. User flows, feature scope, and MVP-vs-full-build decisions documented.

Schedule a meeting
02

Fixed-price quote

A binding fixed-price quote for the Project Build that follows. No estimates, no ranges, no surprise change orders: a number you can plan against.

Schedule a meeting
03

Architecture + risk register

An architecture overview, integration scoping, and a register of technical risks catalogued by severity, so you know exactly what you are committing to before you commit.

What we cover

Six areas every Sprint addresses

Product discovery

Structured interviews with founders and stakeholders to surface the real requirements, not just the ones that made it into the brief.

User flow mapping

End-to-end user flows documented in Figma, the happy path, edge cases, and error states, so the build team never guesses at behaviour.

Architecture scoping

Stack recommendation, integration mapping, and a technical risk register that tells you what is hard before you commit money to it.

MVP vs full-build scoping

A clear, honest recommendation on what belongs in v1 and what can wait, so you launch fast without cutting corners that will hurt later.

Fixed-price quoting

A binding price for the build phase, decomposed by milestone. No ranges, no caveats, no post-kickoff renegotiation.

Team composition plan

A recommended squad structure (roles, seniority, and estimated duration) so you know exactly who builds what and how long it takes.

Fit

Is a Discovery Sprint right for you?

Best for

  • Founders with a defined product idea but no clear scope yet
  • Teams preparing to commit to a 6–14 week build and wanting a fixed price first
  • Anyone who needs technical scoping done before investors commit funding
  • Product leaders who want an honest assessment of what is hard before the build starts

Not for

  • Quick prototyping or PoC work: a Tech Audit or ad-hoc engagement fits better
  • Maintenance on an existing product: see Retainer or Embedded Squad
  • Pure ideation with no defined product concept: talk to a product strategy advisor first
  • You already have a detailed PRD and just need it built: go straight to Project Build

Delivery

How the engagement runs

  1. Days 1–3

    Kickoff & stakeholder interviews

Founder and stakeholder interviews, product requirements gathering, and technical constraints discovery. We align on what success looks like before we scope.

  2. Days 3–5

    Architecture review & integration scoping

Existing-stack assessment, architecture recommendation, third-party integration mapping, and dependency audit.

  3. Days 5–8

    User flows & feature scoping

User flow mapping, feature scope definition, MVP-vs-full-build boundary decisions, and Figma wireframes for the critical paths.

  4. Days 8–10

    Estimate, roadmap & handoff

Sprint plan, team composition recommendation, a binding fixed-price quote for the Project Build, and the full roadmap document delivered as PDF + Notion.

Why it works

Discovery that creates momentum, not documents

Most discovery engagements produce a report nobody reads. Ours produces a fixed-price quote you can take to investors, a roadmap your dev team can execute, and a risk register that tells you what is actually hard. Three people, two weeks, one output you will use.

I very much respect the knowledge that you have. You have a lot of things, just in our few communications, that no one else has mentioned. No one else has even made me think about them.
