Introduction

ElectroCert is a comprehensive digital solution designed to modernize and streamline the electrical certification process. It provides electrical inspectors with a powerful tool to input inspection data, automatically generate official certification documents, and seamlessly share them with supervisors and clients.

The platform serve as a centralized hub where inspectors can conduct their certification processes efficiently in the field while supervisors can monitor and approve documents from their offices. The app leverages artificial intelligence to extract data from photographs of installations and documentation, significantly reducing manual data entry and potential errors.

ElectroCert is developed as a comprehensive solution across 3 platforms, with web access and native mobile applications for both Android and iOS, ensuring inspectors have the tools they need regardless of their preferred device. The platform utilize a license-based access system to control and manage user permissions and access levels.

Introduction

The challenge

The traditional electrical certification process was a bottleneck. Inspectors juggled physical forms, manually transcribed notes, and chased signatures, leading to errors, delays, and a disconnect between field operations and office supervision.

The core problem was an outdated, paper-dependent workflow that stifled efficiency, compromised data accuracy, and lacked the centralized oversight needed for modern service delivery.

How we solved it

We designed ElectroCert as the central nervous system for electrical certification. This comprehensive digital platform empowers field inspectors with intuitive mobile apps for rapid, accurate data entry.

Leveraging AI to parse information from photos and automatically generating professional certificates, ElectroCert connects the field and office in real-time. It transforms a fragmented process into a smooth, transparent, and highly efficient digital journey from initial inspection to final approval.

Two zones with one crossing between them. In the field, an inspector photographs installation labels and meter readings on a mobile app, and AI extraction populates the inspection form from those images rather than the inspector retyping them. The completed inspection crosses to the office side, where a professional certificate is generated as a versioned PDF and a supervisor approves it with the status visible throughout. The gap that used to be filled with paper forms and chased signatures is now a single submission.

How we built it

Made the photograph the data entry, so the inspector records the installation instead of describing it. The paper process failed at transcription: notes copied to forms, forms chased for signatures, and the office learning about a job days later. ElectroCert's mobile apps let the inspector capture installations on site, and AI parses the photographs into the certification data and generates the professional certificate. Because web, iOS and Android share one platform, the field and the office see the same job in real time, from first inspection to final approval, with the oversight that a paper trail never provided.
